Grand Canyon, Grand Pa, and Me

It was a hot day in June 2019. We had waited for years and finally bit the bullet and planned a trip to the Grand Canyon. Danny has never seen it before and it has been years since I was there.

I planned the trip with XANTERRA TRAVEL COLLECTION. It was a great experience with little or no fuss. The Grand Canyon trip was inclusive of lodging, meals and tours with the option of adding more. We were also blessed to have my brother Joe and his wife Connie with us.

We started out the trip in Oklahoma where we visited friends and family on our way west. By following the old ROUTE 66 we added a lot of interesting stops and eateries. Some of the towns on the old route were almost deserted and it was sad that this history would soon be gone.
